RE: Unlocking desktop wallpaper May 18 2007, 11:57 PM EDT well buddy..there are many ways... right click on the desktop and then goto properties and then to desktop tab.. use the brouse button.. or do this one.. open the wall paper in IE or windows fax and picture viewer .. then right click on the pic.. goto .. set as background.. voila.. you have changed your wall paper Post reply 1 out of 10 found this valuable. I have removed all parts of the malware. but in the desktop tab, the browse button, position tab and thebackround tab are locked. Anybody know how to unlock this thing? ALSO the background was removed from MS Paint. Whats the file name how do I restore crap that was uninstalled from windows. I would like to change the wallpaper to something of my choice." change;HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop\NoChangingWallpaper from a REG_SZ to a DWORD entry by deleting the entry and putting a new dword entry in of the same name. Open the Control Panel 2. Click System 3. Click the Advanced tab 4. Click Settings in the Performance section 5. Check the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" checkbox 6.
